Inaugural MD-PhD Society Meeting

Writer: mdphdsurgicalsociemdphdsurgicalsocie

We were overjoyed to have around 50 people join for our inaugural MD-PhD Society Meeting on October 14, 2024!

The esteemed vascular surgeon-scientist Dr. Alan Dardik from Yale University, an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania MSTP Program, spoke about life as a surgeon-scientist. Dr. Dardik discussed not only some of his recent scientific work, but also shared guidance focused on PhD training, and transitions to residency and faculty positions.

We had wonderful engagement from students who asked many insightful questions. We were left pondering our futures as grant writers, technically competent surgeons, and innovative scientists. We are so grateful for the continued support and growth of this organization!
